Laws and regulations
Duck hunting is filled with laws a regulations that need to be followed in order to be a legal hunter and if some of these rules are not followed your fait lies in the hand of the ministry of natural resourses. for example while hunting migretory game birds it is illegal to use lead shot but is legal to use steel shot and the fine is very high for breaking this law. In the province of ontario it is manditory that you purchase a migretory game birds licence and a duck stamp, these licences can be purchased at any post office and will cost you about 40 dollars. You also need to have your hunters saftey course and your minors licence.

Duck hunting can be one of the most chalenging but rewarding sports out there, if you are equiped with the right stuff to get the jod done. the fist and the most important piece of equipment you need is your gun. The 12 guage is the most popular gun used by sports men today, they can come in camoflage and range ant ware from 100 to 1000 dollars. The second most important piece of equipment that you need is a boat, like the one to your left. duck hunting locations
You can find ducks just about any ware the only thing is that you just have to know ware there are and hopefully this will help you locate them. to find ware the ducks are going you have to find a water source with a food source on it for example, wild rice, corn, acuatic plants or a flooded acorn forest. Any of these spots would be prime locations to go for a good duck hunt. Another good idea is puting out food to atract the ducks to your hunting spot. Duck behaviour
in this post i will be talking about the different types of duck behaviour that all ducks show. Every duck has its own personality, like a mallard. the mallard has a very distinct feeding call like a chuckle and has a very low sounding call that sounds like a dout noise. the mallard feeds with is rear end in the air so they can access food on the bottom of a marsh. the next duck i will be talking about is the infamous wood duck, its call sounds like a high pitch whistle noise which is their feeding call. The wood duck nests a roosts in trees during the mating season keeping them selves and their young safe.

The basics of duck hunting

Duck hunting can be one of the most fun and action packed outdoor sports in the world. Duck hunting takes place in september until the end of january every single year. duck hunting can be very challenging because you have to be fully camoflaged, if you are not camoed completly the ducks will not come into your decoy setup. while we are on the topic of decoys i will explain how to set them up. decoys should be set up in a half moon shape so the ducks will have a spot to land and posittion the decoys so the ducks will land right in front you. i found a cool site that you might be interested in it has a lot of information on good guiding services and spots to hunt it is www.duckhuntingchat.com
